Bianka + Glenn // Glen Ewin Estate Wedding, South Australia

Two of my favourite people in the world got hitched earlier this year. Get ready for my biggest wedding post yet.

Bianka Feo (of Coops + The Bird) + Glenn Jaunzarins (of Encarta) – musicians, lovers and wonderful friends of mine – were married at Glen Ewin Estate in the Adelaide Hills, after having a ‘first look’ at their favourite pub (and regular gig venue), the lovely Grace Emily Hotel.

I don’t even know how to begin to describe this day, so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves – except to make special mention of Bianka’s spectacular custom made gown by Adelaide-based genius Paolo Sebastian, and the hot Ford Falcon 351GT built with love by the bride’s father, Rocky.

B + Glenn, thank you – I love both of your faces off.

Alex + James // Port Phillip Estate Wedding

Alex + James are adorable. At their elegant, classy and very relaxed wedding at Port Philip Estate, the smiles didn’t leave their faces for even a second… the joyful love between them was palpable for everyone who looked on.

It was a simple, classic and gorgeous day with good food, great wine and wonderful company; an absolute pleasure to capture. Big love and thanks to Alex and James for having me along.

P.S Keep an eye out for some crackin’ dance floor action.

Alex looked stunning in a beaded gown from Jenny Packham, and her bridesmaids wore beautiful cocktail length gowns by Rachel Gilbert. The gents wore tuxedos from P. Johnson. Make up by Trish Sousa, and hair by Craig Withers from Urban Escape. The floral arrangements were by Fleur, and Alex + James’ celebrant was the delightful and bubbly Jess Hills. The cake was made by Julie Gunthorpe, and The White Tree provided the awesome dance floor tunes.

Vanessa + James // Thailand Destination Wedding by She Takes Pictures He Makes Films

Have Alastair and I mentioned how much we love our jobs?

Vanessa + James were married on picturesque Koh Samui, Thailand. Their family and friends flew in from Australia and the U.K. to share in several days of adventure and relaxation (and cocktails)… we were there as She Takes Pictures He Makes Films to capture their story.

We joined them on a cruise through the Ao Nang National Marine Park – snorkelling and sightseeing around the breathtaking archipelago – before celebrating their beautifully styled and laid-back wedding day at the luxurious beachfront resort The Library.

Thank you Vanessa + James – what an awesome adventure it was. x

Having the perfect photographer to capture our wedding was one of the most important details for us when we were planning our big day. So we were ecstatic when we stumbled across the incredible duo behind She Takes Pictures He Makes Films and they agreed to shoot our wedding.

We ‘dragged’ them over to Thailand with us, and in exchange Lucy and Alastair offered to shoot not just our wedding day but spend the weekend with us. They fit in like a couple of extra guests (but with awesome cameras that they knew how to use) and managed to capture the true magic of a special time with friends and family. Their light hearted professionalism smoothed over a few stresses on the day and helped to relax/tricked some of our more un-photogenic guests(groom & MOB included) into producing not only usable but beautiful imagery.

We couldn’t be happier with the end product not only because the images are spectacular, but looking through Lucy’s photos and watching Alastair’s film (which we have done countless times already) you are completely transported back there to relive the moments over and over. In short, Lucy and Alastair totally smashed our expectations – and I had high expectations! Hire them if you can, you won’t be disappointed – you’ll be blown away. – Vanessa + James
